Two albums from 1959/60 which marked tenor sax player Jimmy Heath’s artistic rebirth and triumphant return after five years off the scene.

•Thumper” was his first LP for the Riverside label – a sextet session with Nat Adderley (cornet), Curtis Fuller (trombone), Wynton Kelly (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) & Albert Heath (drums).
